Starting this May on-line. Learn from the comfort of your own home. This series of classes is designed to help you pass the state exams. Learn how to navigate the NEC. Calculations, services, grounding, motors, HVAC, transformers, conduit and box fill are just a few of the areas that will be addressed. Class will meet for ten (3) sessions.
**CL24-01 Changes to the National Electric Code (Part 1) This class will cover most of the major changes to the National Electric Code. Chapters 1-4 will be reviewed. This is part one of a two-part class and can only be attended in-person.
**CL24-02 Changes to the National Electric Code (Part 2) This class will cover most of the major changes to the National Electric Code. Chapters 4-9 will be reviewed. This is part two of a two-part class and can only be attended in-person.
NEC24-01 and NEC24-02 are required to be completed in-person in order to fulfill the 10-hour NEC update mandate.

TEC24-01 Codeology (Intro to the NEC and UCC) - 4 hrs. This class is intended for the student who is interested in learning MORE. More about the National Electric Code. How to use the index. TEC24-02 Electrical Systems Part 2 (Calculations) - 4 hrs. This class is intended for the student interested in learning how to perform various calculations using the NEC. Articles 200, 210, 215, 220, 225, and 230 will be covered. Using the tables. Conduit fill. Box fill. Conductor deflection. Using Chapter 9. Using the Appendixes. What is Table 8, Chapter 9? Using the examples.
TEC24-03 Electrical Systems Part 3 (Conductors and Overcurrent Protection) 4 -hrs. This class is intended for the student interested in learning how to perform various conductor calculations using the NEC. Chapter 3 will be covered in detail. Table 310.15(B16) will be covered. Article 240 will be explained in detail.
TEC24-04 Electrical Systems Part 4 (Wiring Methods) - 4 hrs. This class is intended for the student interested in learning about the various wiring methods in Chapter3. Uses permitted and not permitted. Supporting and securing. Manufacturer installation instructions. Conductor fill and installation. Using Chapter9, and the Tables. The appendixes.
TEC24-05 Electrical Systems Part 5 (Wiring Materials) – 4 hrs. This class is intended for the student interested in learning about various wiring materials and equipment. Service equipment, cutout boxes, and meter enclosures will be covered. Following UL listing standards. Using the internet as a resource.
TEC24-06 Electrical Systems Part 6 (Motors, Generators, HVAC) – 4 hrs. This class is intended for the student interested in learning about special equipment. Motors, HVAC equipment (including the correct way to wire a AC unit), transformers, appliances, heating equipment and other equipment. Signs, welders and other Chapter 6 articles will be covered. Article 680 – swimming pools will be covered in detail. New Jersey specific requirements will be covered in detail including commercial pools requirements.
